Experience & Stay
A private sanctuary layered with history, soul, and the unmistakable spirit of old New Orleans.
Welcome to Casa de Margarita
Inside, the home feels less like a rental and more like a memory — layered with generations of collected stories, heirloom furniture, vintage finds, and the unmistakable spirit of old New Orleans. Mardi Gras throws from years past, weathered wood, nostalgic textures, and family pieces gathered over decades create a space that feels warm, lived-in, and deeply personal.
There's a certain magic here that reminds you of visiting your grandparents' home as a child — the comfort of familiar objects, soft light through old windows, conversations that linger long after dinner, and rooms filled with character instead of perfection.
Every corner carries a sense of history. Nothing is overly polished or staged. The beauty is in the collected layers: eclectic furnishings, soulful imperfections, local touches, and spaces designed for slowing down and reconnecting.
Beyond the interiors, the tropical courtyard and soaking pool offer a hidden garden escape tucked behind the historic cottage walls — intimate, peaceful, and unmistakably New Orleans.
Casa de Margarita is a home meant to be experienced, not just stayed in.
The Grounds
Lush foliage surrounds the front yard and decorates the back courtyard. Step outside and the city fades — replaced by the sound of rustling palms, the shimmer of the soaking pool, and the golden warmth of late afternoon light filtering through the canopy.
The Cottage
Originally built as a duplex, Casa de Margarita still carries pieces of its historic structure and character. Original materials, collected artwork, and thoughtful details blend together to create a space that feels both lived-in and welcoming.
The living room has a way of swallowing people whole — especially during afternoon storms when rain taps softly against the tin roof overhead. It's the perfect place for long conversations, afternoon naps, music, and quiet moments between adventures.
The Kitchen & Dining Room
The front entrance opens into the dining room, where a custom-height table and bench comfortably seat up to eight guests beneath two glowing Tiffany lamps.
The fully equipped kitchen is ready for family dinners, holiday meals, and late-night snacks after a day exploring New Orleans.
